Kevin Freeman is a former high major assistant Men’s Basketball Coach who spent the past 9 seasons on staff between the University of Connecticut and Penn State University. Kevin brings a winning pedigree, a wealth of knowledge and experience to the Kevin Freeman Basketball Academy. Kevin has done it on the National stage having won multiple National Championships with UConn one as a player in 1999 and another in 2014 a member of the coaching staff. During his time as an Assistant Coach, he had the opportunity to work with and develop the likes of NBA players Rudy Gay, Andre Drummond, Shabazz Napier, Amida Brimah, Ryan Boatright, Deandre Daniels and Lamar Stevens.
Prior to his time as an Assistant Coach, Kevin played Professionally Overseas for 11 years across 8 different Countries. Kevin played Collegiately at The University of Connecticut where he was a 4 year starter, Co-Caption and MVP of the 1999 Big East Tournament.
